The Prairie Pest Monitoring Network produces the
Weekly Update each growing season. The Weekly Update is intended to
provide growers and the agricultural industry with current pest information
including growing season conditions across the Canadian prairies, insect pest
forecast maps and distribution maps, insect monitoring protocols and tips, plus
information related to emerging insect pest issues. The Weekly Update is
the cooperative effort of AAFC-Saskatoon and AAFC-Beaverlodge staff with
significant input from the provincial entomologists (Manitoba, Saskatchewan,
Alberta), federal and provincial researchers, as well as industry and
individual growers.
